Ticket to Ryde for the u13's! ECB Cup Success 🏏

Congratulations to the u13’s who beat Ryde in the ECB Cup competition. They are now through to the South and West Semi-Final and Finals Day to be played on the 26th July.

Match report:
“The u13s travelled to the Isle of Wight to face Ryde in the second round of the ECB South and West division. The Team followed up their Dorset County Cup win with a convincing performance that saw them progress to the Regional Semi-Final stages.

Batting first, a solid opening partnership of 63 between Nick and Tom D set the stage for some powerful hitting from Lucas, Joe L and Josh with the ever running Jack chipping in towards the end of the innings, at a strike rate of 180. Special mention to Ellery for smashing the last ball of the innings back past the bowler for 4 to set Ryde a challenging target of 185 off 20 overs.

The u13 quicks of Aksh, Jack, Tom and Joe L bowled tightly against some quality batting from Ryde, who ultimately fell behind the run rate. More accurate bowling from Bournemouth, with special mention to Tom A (bowling 3 overs for only 11 runs), Josh chiming in with a maiden and Joe M finishing things off with a superb double wicket maiden and backed up with the usual sharp keeping of Arthur, meant that Bournemouth now progress to the next round of the ECB Cup later in the month on their route to Lords."
