Dorset Women’s Showcase Day takes place on Thursday, 31 July, at Wimborne Cricket Club. It’s an exciting day designed to unite the cricket community and celebrate women in sport, and we believe the first of its kind!
There are lots of activities taking place throughout the day. Also attending the event to support the activities are the current Southern Brave players, and former England player Owais Shah. Some of the activities require a separate registration that then provides a free Showcase Game entry ticket. Please see below for the activities that can be registered for and some key information.
Girls Section (or potential girls section) Workforce Networking EventWhere: Showcase Game at Wimborne CC, BH21 1DY
When: 31st July 2025, 11am to 12pm
Key Points: networking event for the workforce of club girls sections to come together on the morning of the Showcase Game event, to share ideas and gather information over a coffee. Any club workforce registering to attend this networking event will be provided with a free ticket to the Showcase Game.

CLICKING HEREU12 Softball Girls Skills SessionsWhere: Showcase Game at Wimborne CC, BH21 1DY
When: 31st July 2025, 12pm to 1pm
Key Points: these softball skills sessions are for girls that are 12 years of age or younger. Initial communications on the skills sessions said that it was for club u9 or u11 softball teams. This is NOT the case, it is for u12s girls (year 7 and below), and individuals can sign up. Registrants will be grouped together on the day with their club or school members. When a junior is registered for the skills sessions, their parent will also be provided with a free ticket for the Showcase Game. Taking part in the skill sessions provides an opportunity to perform the guard of honour for the Showcase Game.

Key Points: Dorset Women v Hampshire Women T20 match. Gates open 11.30am for pre match activities with the main match starting at 3pm. Tickets ÂŁ5 for adults and ÂŁ0 for juniors (must be accompanied by an adult). The DWS25 event is a celebration of woman's sports and everyone is welcome.

CLICK HEREBournemouth CC Girls have been invited to participate in the skills session, but if anyone else has a daughter, relation or friend who is interested in attending, please click on the attachment in this article to book a place. The session includes a rotation of batting, bowling, and fielding drills. Players will be placed into teams and winners will be given the option to be flag bearers for the main event!
It would be great to get as many girls as possible there and wearing their BCC shirts!
